【Synopsis】The world was in a cold war in the late 1960s and early 1970s. After the conflict between China and the Soviet Union on Zhenbao Island, Beijing teenager Qi Weizhi was evacuated with his mother to Hanzhong, the hinterland of the Qinling Mountains. Hanzhong was an important third-tier town in China during the Cold War. Her mother Qi Xiuxuan was emotionally betrayed by her husband, so she deliberately concealed her husband’s death and was quite indifferent to her son. Qi Weizhi’s missing maternal love was rewarded by the head teacher Zhou Wenyao, so he developed subtle feelings for Zhou Wenyao.
